Girls - Album
A debut album from a band that features a lead singer who grew up in a cult that forbid pop music.
I find the sound of this album very much a throwback to different eras, but specifically seems to mix 60's pop sensibility with 80's garage band.

Received Pitchfork's highest rating of 2009 so far at a 9.1 on a scale of 10.
I generally deem it over-rated but still quite excellent.
