Little Dragon - Machine Dreams
5. Based out of Sweden (seriously, does everybody in Sweden have a band?) Machine Dreams [Due out October 20th] is apparently the electronic groups second album, but I've never heard the first.
4. Very reminiscent of Santigold especially on track 2, "Looking Glass," Little Dragon use sparse arrangements but are beat heavy.
3. There's heavy heavy use of drum machine and I think it's used to good effect but you should keep in mind I'm particularly fond of late 80's/early 90's drum echo.
2. Top tracks for me are "Runabout" and "My Step" but if you like those you'll probably enjoy the whole album.
1. This is a weird one in that I'm not usually such a fan of this type of electronic, and although I feel like I'll hear this album the next time I go into J. Crew, I can't say I won't be nodding my head in approval.
